Sydney F. Martin
The creator, spokesperson and inspiration behind Giving Rocks Foundation and the Syd Rocks necklaces, Syd is now a Certified Child Life Specialist at Rush University Hospital.

An accomplished speaker at a young age, Syd gave the keynote address at Lurie Children’s ACE Hardware Event and was active with the Histiocytosis Association and the Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathons. Syd was the youngest person ever honored with the Distinguished Citizen Award from the District 39 Education Foundation, has been featured in numerous publications including People Magazine and American Girl Magazine, and has been the guest on local Chicago television programs like “Windy City Live” (ABC-7 Chicago), WGN News and Fox News Chicago. A lover of dance, fashion and yoga, Syd is honored that Giving Rocks has been invited to participate in the Lolla Cares program at Lollapalooza since 2014.

Tracy L Martin
Tracy Martin is the Executive Director of Giving Rocks Foundation, and the mother of Syd and Carly Martin. Tracy has been there BEFORE the very beginning, knows everything about the organization, and knows everybody tied into the organization. Tracy is a graphic designer by trade and thus oversees the creative direction of the foundation. Tracy is a full time Account Director managing an oncology brand at Wildtype Health Agency.
